Carolyn Murphy is taking part in The Boo Art market with other Prospect Studios printmakers on 26 & 27 November 12-4pm in Waterfoot, Rossendale. It’s a lovely, indoor venue & she’ll be including new work. There will be a selection of stalls from local makers, artists and craftspeople, and a café. It’s a great place to find original Christmas gifts. Hope you can make it! Please tell all your friends.
20:20 prints x 2!
This year Carolyn Murphy is submitting 2 editions for the 20:20 print exchange – yes, sheer madness – one with Alan Birch’s Prospect Studios and another with Hot Bed Press.
Both linocut editions are all done and you can see images below. For more process and stage images check out Carolyn’s blog at carolynmurphyprintmaker.blogspot.co.uk.
A full edition takes quite a lot of space to dry! Both prints are 2 plate linocuts. They are ‘Adjusting the sails’ and ‘Meandering’, respectively. To buy an unframed print, you can now visit the on-line Shop.

Barn Owl in Parliament
Carolyn Murphy’s linocut ‘Barn Owl’ is in a new book, called ‘The Elegant Fowl’ – a Printmakers’ Parliament of Owls. It’s a collection of original owl prints from 94 artists, published by Mascot Media,
The book retails at at £23.99.
Carolyn’s ‘Barn Owl’, a 2 colour linocut is featured in the book. It is an original print she created for her niece Amelia’s 4th birthday a few years back now. Amelia is very excited too!
Manchester Cathedral Arts & Crafts Fair 15-16 July
On 15th and 16th July there are stalls within Manchester Cathedral, selling arts & crafts. The Prospect Studios printmakers will be there with original prints – linocuts, etchings, monoprints & more – all by artist printmakers who are regulars at Alan Birch’s print workshops in Rossendale.
Carolyn Murphy’s prints are included. On Friday the fair is open 11am to 7 pm. Saturday opening times are 11am to 5pm. There’s some fabulous work on show and for sale. Hope you can make it!
Unframed available work is now for sale through the new on-line Shop.
