Clitheroe exhibition

This week Carolyn Murphy visited the Longitude Gallery in Clitheroe, currently hosting an exhibition of work by Prospect Printmakers. Carolyn has 2 framed original linocut prints on show (one already sold) as well as a selection of unframed work in the browsers. The Clitheroe exhibition shows great variety and high quality printmaking in a great space close to Clitheroe Castle. It’s on until the end of March, so please do pop in if you are in the area.

Bury Exhibition opens Friday

A new Bury exhibition features a wide range of printmakers’ work under one theme. Prospect Printmakers are showing work at Bury Art Museum as part of the ‘Feared and Fanciful Futures’ exhibition. The exhibition opens on Friday 27 January and runs until 20 May.

Carolyn Murphy’s reduction linocut ‘Darkness’ will be included alongside other printmakers’ work.

Inspiration for the work came from ideas of catastrophe, space exploration and her love of dark skies.

All are welcome at the opening on Friday (5-8pm).

Prospect Printmakers print at Alan Birch’s workshop at Prospect Studio in Waterfoot, Rossendale. A wide variety of printmaking techniques and some great interpretations of the theme are on show. The group also has unframed work in the Bury Art Museum Shop.

You can now buy available unframed original prints at the new on-line Shop.
